Terms & Conditions

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before booking your vacation rental. By making a reservation, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms:

  1. Rental Agreement: This agreement is made between the guest(s) and the property owner/management company for the specified vacation rental property located in British Columbia, Canada.
  2. Rental Period: The rental period begins on the specified check-in date and ends on the specified check-out date. The property must be vacated by the agreed check-out time unless prior arrangements have been made.
  3. Rental Party: The rental property is to be occupied by the number of guests specified during the booking process. Additional guests may be allowed with prior approval from the property owner/management company, and additional charges may apply.
  4. Payment Terms: A deposit or full payment, as agreed upon during the booking process, is required to secure the reservation. The remaining balance must be paid in full before the check-in date. Accepted forms of payment include credit/debit cards, bank transfers, or other approved payment methods.
  5. Cancellation and Refund Policy:
    • Cancellation Periods:
      • a. Full Refund: Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the check-in date will receive a full refund of any payments made.
      • b. 50% Refund: Cancellations made between 15 and 30 days prior to the check-in date will receive a 50% refund of any payments made.
      • c. No Refund: Cancellations made within 14 days of the check-in date will not be eligible for any refund.
    • Refund Process: Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within a reasonable time frame after the cancellation date and will be issued to the original payment method used during the reservation process.
    • Early Departure: No refunds will be provided for early departures or unused nights due to personal reasons, late arrivals, or inclement weather conditions.
    • Changes and Modifications: Changes to the reservation, including date changes or a reduction in the number of nights, may be subject to the cancellation policy and potential additional fees.
    • Force Majeure: In the event of circumstances beyond the control of the property owner/management company, such as natural disasters, government actions, or other unforeseen events, the property owner/management company reserves the right to modify or cancel reservations and provide alternative accommodations or refund options as deemed appropriate.
    • Property Owner/Management Company Cancellation: The property owner/management company reserves the right to cancel a booking at any time prior to the check-in date due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., property damage, maintenance issues). In such cases, the guest will receive a full refund of any amount paid.
    • Travel Insurance: We strongly recommend guests obtain comprehensive travel insurance to protect against unexpected cancellations, trip interruptions, or other unforeseen circumstances that may affect your travel plans.
    • It is the guest’s responsibility to review and understand the cancellation policy prior to making a reservation. By making a reservation and providing payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this cancellation policy.
  6. Security Deposit: A security deposit may be required to cover any damages, loss, or excessive cleaning required as a result of the guest’s stay. The security deposit will be refunded within a reasonable time after the check-out date, minus any deductions for damages or violations of the rental agreement.
  7. House Rules: Guests are expected to abide by all house rules provided by the property owner/management company. House rules include the following:
    • a. No pets are allowed, except for service animals as required by law.
    • b. No parties or events are permitted on the premises.
    • c. No filming or commercial activities without prior written consent from the property owner/management company.
    • d. No smoking is allowed inside the rental property.
    • e. Quiet hours are in effect from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM the following day.
  8. Liability: The guest(s) assume all responsibility for personal property, accidents, injuries, and damage to the rental property, excluding normal wear and tear. The property owner/management company shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, or injury incurred during the guest’s stay.
  9. Insurance: It is recommended that guests obtain appropriate travel and rental insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances, including trip cancellations, travel delays, or property damage.
  10. Indemnification: The guest(s) agree to indemnify and hold harmless the property owner/management company from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from the guest’s stay or the use of the rental property.
  11. Termination: The property owner/management company reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement and evict the guest(s) without refund for any violation of the terms and conditions or if the guest’s behavior is deemed disruptive or harmful.
  12. Governing Law: This agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any legal disputes arising from this agreement shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of British Columbia.
  13. Severability: If any provision of this agreement is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  14. Rental Agreement Only: This agreement does not create a tenancy or any other real property interest. It is solely a rental agreement for the specified vacation rental property.

By making a reservation and providing payment, the guest(s) acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions
